There’s a REAL ‘Top 100 DJ’s list’ on Reddit

Written by on August 8, 2017

Reddit did their own version of DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJ’s” List – and it’s a whole load more reliable.

Now we all know that DJ mag’s ‘top 100 DJ’s’ list isn’t the most accurate list of all time. Many DJ’s are against the competition, with half of the people on it each year nobody’s even heard of, the cringy campaigns that artists run to get their name on the list, and the iPad girls, oh the iPad girls… And Reddit users took it into their own hands to vote for their own top 100 DJ’s list. And it’s a whole load more reliable.

Taking the #1 spot was Martin Garrix, the second time he’s been voted top spot on the reddit feed. The 21 year old is currently killing the dance music scene, and is pretty much the face of EDM at the moment. At #2 was surprisingly Illenium, #3 Porter Robinson, #4 Don Diablo, and Hardwell took the fifth spot. The biggest drop from last years voting was Third Party, who dropped over 60 spots and the largest growing was Rezz, who climbed over 60 spots.

While the reddit vote still isn’t the perfect replacement of DJ Mag’s list, it’s a whole load more reliable. Who knows what will happen to the original “Top 100 DJ’s” List in the coming years as it becomes less and less popular as EDM fans learn of the inaccuracies and the tactics being used in how the voting is handled.

An exciting discussion is worth comment. I think which you should write additional on this subject, it may possibly not be a taboo topic but generally people are not sufficient to speak on such topics. Towards the next. Cheers
