MARTIN GARRIX BRINGS THE HEAT TO BST HYDE PARK (REVIEW)
Global sensation Martin Garrix took to the stage to blast out his signature anthemic tracks and contagious baselines at BST Hyde Park this weekend. Garrix drove the crowds wilds with his classics such as “Animals” and was joined by songstress Dua Lipa on stage for hit “Scared To Be Lonely”.
The sun was beaming down over the screaming crowds of 50,000 Garrix fans, as the Dutch DJ and producer played his classics, featuring remixes of Daft Punk and The Weekend along with plenty of his original material, bringing an Ibiza vibe to a boiling afternoon in London.
Garrix got the whole crowd up and dancing to his latest track ‘There for you’, the parents were getting down to anthems such as Byte and Tremor as the DJ dropped tune after tune in one of the most energetic sets we’ve seen from the 21 year old.
The vibe through the crowd was electric as every single person sung back the lyrics to all of Martin’s songs and was a fantastic way to kick off a night of music, food and entertainment.
There was much surprise when Garrix called out his friend Dua Lipa to perform their hit single ‘Scared to be lonely’. The duo have recently been grilled under rumours of a relationship between the two, following images being released of the two sharing a quick kiss in Miami. And chemistry between the two was clear as Dua danced behind the decks with Martin.
Justin Bieber also took to the stage to perform classics such as”Let Me Love You”, “Life Is Worth Living” and Justin’s breakthrough hit “Baby”. The Canadian superstar praised the crowds of London before bringing day three of BST to a close. The first triumphant weekend at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park ended with his biggest anthem “Sorry” and a final flourish of fireworks.
